He then transferred to Grand Valley State University to continue his baseball career. While at GVSU, he majored in Biomedical Science and earned his Bachelor of Science degree. To this day, Dr. Murkowski II firmly believes that receiving regular chiropractic care contributed to his athletic success. After graduation, he then moved to Davenport, Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic, the oldest and most renowned chiropractic school in the world, and earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

He completed the five-year chiropractic program in three years and four months. In addition to the mandatory classes to earn his degree, he also took multiple elective courses and seminars to broaden his knowledge of various chiropractic techniques and nutrition. He was also a part of a team of 25 doctors that went to Ilheus, Brazil to provide chiropractic care to the underserved people in the community. During the ten-day trip the team collectively provided care for over 4,000 individuals. Dr. Murkowski II finished his schooling by completing an internship at one of the oldest clinics in southern Michigan. After graduating from chiropractic school, he was hired at Northwest Chiropractic Life Center in Jackson, MI to learn and work with his father who has over 40 years of experience in the Chiropractic profession. The last four years, Dr. Murkowski II was running the day to day operations until deciding to open his own clinic.

Dr. Murkowski II, believes in a “whole person approach” when treating his patients. He says that the body can’t be viewed as just a back, arm, or an illness so when treating pain or a problem it can’t be looked at in isolation. All of the pieces create the puzzle. This approach to health means looking for and treating the underlying causes of a problem, which may or may not be causing the symptoms. After identifying the factors that threaten health, he then works with the patient to make lifestyle adjustments that optimize the conditions for healing and normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Murkowski II is able to help you restore wellness and/or maintain your journey to optimum health.
